As for direction, Iiiiii will admit I'd love to- to start at least -see Lotor get a redemption arc. I mean, I think we all knew what was coming in time but it still broke my heart. He also seems like the kind of guy that did mean well but just had some twisted ideas of how to achieve his goals. End result justifies the means, that sort of deal. It would be pretty interesting to see how he handled having an infinite source of pure quintessence right there within his reach, but not being able to act on it because he's still needing Allura's help to finish his ships. More than that, I think it'd be REALLY fascinating to see how he handled actually getting CLOSE to said source.
Like, with the alteans' he used he didn't know any of them personally, but we also see at the end of 6 that he wanted to spare Allura and the Paladins, had maybe come to consider them real allies and all that before Allura "forced" his hand. You know what I mean, though? He didn't have a personal connection to them so I don't think there was a real COST in his mind. It was like "crack a few eggs to make an omelette", but what if he had a personal investment in those eggs?
So the question is should we start those two up AT the rescue, or after it, and summarize how it went down?
Ahhh yes! I think that set up for Rapunzel and Lance will prove to be super super cute. I'm glad you like it!
Now I'm cracking up imagining Gothel reacting to Lance. Because you know she'd probably be rolling her eyes at him HARD and calling him dumb.
